EV manufacturer Nikola announces two new trucks, a jet ski and an off road vehicle

No real surprises hither, but I really desire this jet ski then I can live out my ninety's Bail villain fantasy

Electrical Vehicle company Nikola appear a slew of new vehicles on Tuesday including ii semi trucks, a jet ski and a new off-road utility vehicle.

The most notable announcements are the ii semi trucks, only the other vehicles seem like much more fun, and maybe even a little bond villain-ish.

The trucks

The trucks are called the Nikola 2 and Nikola Tre. The latter is for the European market and won't get into production until 2023. The former is the company's main product and should striking the market in 2022.

The company was initially championing a semi chosen the Nikola 1, but its new main vehicle is the more capable Nikola 2. The new truck has an estimated 500 to 750 mile (804 to 1207 km) range along with 1,000hp and a 15 to 20 minute charge time.

The truck uses Hydrogen power instead of traditional batteries. Hydrogen is a fantastic substitute for lithium-ion batteries since it'southward so much lighter, but since there are barely whatever refuelling stations the technology needs to overcome that hurdle to go more mainstream.

There will also be a shorter range battery powered option bachelor in the future, according to Ars Technica

The European cruiser, the Tre has pretty much the aforementioned specs as the Nikola 2, but in my opinion, its got a much cooler design.

The toys

On state, there's a new side-by-side utility vehicle called 'Reckless' that's military grade and users tin even command information technology remotely. It has a minimal heat signature and it's relatively silent as well.

The all-terrain vehicle as well has four motors, so if something happens to one, the electric off-route powerhouse can run off of the other three. Beyond that it'south IP67 waterproof, meaning that you can submerge information technology in 1 metre of h2o for 30 minutes and exist it will be fine.

This is the second all-terrain vehicle that Nikola has shown off in the last few years. The first was the NZT, which is a more than consumer-focused side-by-side vehicle.

In the water is where the coolest project lives. The Nikola WAV is a jet ski that'southward supposed to be much quieter than traditional gas-powered models and has instant torque meaning it should accelerate really quickly.

Across that, it has a 12-inch 4K brandish, and to me, the overall pattern looks incredibly cool. Although, I'd dear to run across information technology in a few other colours.
